William Jeffrey Scalf, 65, Orleans, died Saturday, May 20, 2017, at his daughter's home.
The son of John W. and Jean (Lamb) Scalf was born June 29, 1951, in Covington, Kentucky.
The Lawrenceburg High School graduate attended Indiana University.
Jeff worked 44 years in education. He was a Batesville High School teacher and coached football and wrestling in the 1980s. Jeff also taught and coached at Franklin College, Bloomington North High School and Paoli High School.
The educator ended his career as an assistant principal at Orleans Community School Corp.
His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter and her husband: Lori and Buford DeWitt, Paoli; one son: Casey Scalf, Seattle, Washington; mother, Maineville, Ohio; one sister and her husband: Julie and Jim Ziruolo, Golden, Colorado; and two grandchildren: Emily and Alex DeWitt, Paoli.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation is Tuesday, May 23, from 4-8 p.m. at McAdams Mortuary, Paoli. The funeral is Wednesday, May 24, at 11 a.m. there with Brother Lyndel Manship officiating. Burial is at Old Union Cemetery, Orleans. Online condolences may be posted at www.mcadamsmortuary.com.
