He married Judy Weisbrod on December 12, 1975, in Cincinnati and together they raised five children.
Tom worked as a material manager in quality control for many years.
He was an active member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church as a Eucharistic minister and in the men's prayer groups. Tom loved boating and spending time with his family.
On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at the age of 67, he passed away at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.
Those surviving who will cherish Tom's memory include his wife of 43 years, Judy Cloppert; children Bill (Karen) Schmitt of Milan, Julie (Joe) Stewart of West Harrison, Thom (Alicia) Cloppert Jr. of Loveland, Ohio, Jud (Liz) Cloppert of Cincinnati, and Katie (Taylor) Hoffman of Erlanger, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren: Megan (Tyler) Ripperger, Zach Schmitt, Jacob Stewart, Eli Schmitt, Mallory Stewart, Becca Schmitt, Matthew Schmitt, Lilli Stewart, Acadia Cloppert and Irelyn Cloppert; 3 great-grandchildren: Quinn Ripperger, Griffin Ripperger and Rhys Schmitt; 2 brothers, Fred (Pat) Cloppert of Columbus, Ohio, and Bill (Sandi) Cloppert of Cincinnati; and 4 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 18, 2019, from 5 until 8 p.m. with rosary at 4:30 at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman. Father Shaun Whittington will officiate a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
