Myrna Loudean Story Allen, 83, of Laurel, passed away on April 27, 2018, at Batesville, Indiana, following a brief illness.
She was born December 4, 1934, the daughter of Garner and Sophronia Fetty Story, and they preceded her in death.
On November 9, 1956, she married Edward Allen in Laurel, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2009.
She was a Laurel High School graduate and had been employed as a clerk at Laurel Package Store for 15 years.
She was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 1130, Pocahontas Starlight Council of Batesville, Indiana, the Red Hat Society and a member of Laurel Town Board.
Myrna enjoyed fishing, bird watching and animals, especially cats. She liked going to casinos and playing bingo. She attended St. Louis Super Sunday Bingo every year.
Survivors include her two daughters: Robin Phillips and her husband, Greg, of Bloomington, Indiana, and Christina Allen Hanna of Batesville, Indiana; 8 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Allen; her son, Garner Allen on February 26, 2018; a granddaughter, Candace Allen-Peters; and a sister, Ethel Story Steele on April 13, 2018.

Memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, May 7, 2018, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Gaschke officiating.
