Leona Weiler, 99, Sunman, passed Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018.
She leaves her beloved family: Joanne (Joe) Bone, Hillsboro, Missouri; Frank (Pat) Weiler, Harrison, Ohio; Harold (Kathy) Weiler, Batesville; Marjorie (Jim) Powell, Batesville; Larry (Pam) Weiler, Sunman; Allen (Robin) Weiler, Sunman; Linda (Whitey) Skipton, Bright; Diane (Steve) Gehring; Batesville; Marty (Sandy) Weiler; Batesville; Brenda (Jeff) Bessler, Batesville; and Irene (Rob) Zerr, Aurora, Colorado. She also leaves 40 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Leona leaves her brother Bernard Batta and sisters Viola Westrich and Annabel Suttmiller.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent; son Stephen; grandson Jonathon Mitchell; parents Bernard and Elizabeth Batta; brothers Howard, Richard, Raymond, Arnold and Clifford Batta; sisters Delores Hoffbauer, Florence Heinrich and Dorothy Roell.
Visitation is Friday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m.-noon at Andres-Wuestefeld Funeral Home, Dover, with Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. at St. Peters Church, St. Peters.

The memory I have of this beautiful woman is: She always had a smile on her face. That went for her husband as well. Raising 12 children can't be easy. She suffered the tragic accident of one of her sons and took care of him at home for years to come, but continued on with that smile. My sympathies to the entire family in their loss of one of the great moms of the world. When I think of her, I smile.
