Jane  Schneider


Jane Ann Schneider, 77, a longtime Rushville resident, passed away October 23, 2017 in Indianapolis. Jane was born April 11, 1940 in Rushville to Clifford & Helen (Long) Warfuel. She was a 1958 graduate of Rushville High School and obtained her Associate's Degree in Art from Indianapolis Art Institute. She married Quirn Schneider on October 12, 1962 and he survives.
Jane owned a ceramic shop in Rushville for many years. She also worked as a beautician, sold tupperware and was secretary at State Farm Insurance in Rushville. She worked many years as a QMA at Miller's Merry Manor in Rushville, worked at the Indiana Blind School in Indianapolis and also did custodial work at Indiana Grand Casino.
She was a past member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, was Girl Scout Leader many years and member of the Noble Niters Home Ec Club and the Rushville Garden Club.
Jane is survived by her daughters, Teresa (Michael) Clark of Plymouth, MN and Rhonda Maupin of Indianapolis, a step brother, Charles Warfuel of Muncie, grandchildren, Dustin Maupin, Alexander & Carly Clark & Iesha Maupin, step grandchildren, Etienne (Angela) Maupin, Timothy (Michelle) Maupin and David (Caroline) Maupin. Jane was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Steve Maupin.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Pastor's Roy Ice & Adam Haganman presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 11:30 AM until time of service on Saturday. Private burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, American Diabetes Association or the Hospice Angels Foundation.
