Jerry was a member of the Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271, the Knights of Columbus Council #1461 and St. Louis Church. After selling the store, he continued to work for the new owners. He was a long time league bowler and liked eating out frequently. He and Joann enjoyed going to the riverboat and regular visits to Las Vegas. In addition to Vegas, they were able to see many parts of the country and took some overseas trips as well. A favorite was their trip to Rome.
Jerry is survived by brothers David Lake of Greenfield, Indiana, Don Lake of New Trenton, Indiana, Frank Lake of Cedar Grove, Indiana, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother Melvin Lake and foster sister Delores Helton.
