Evelyn LuLu Rose Parmer, Edinburgh, entered eternal life at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Simon Cancer Center, Indianapolis, at the age of 85.
The daughter of William and Elizabeth (Barg) Westerfeld was born July 5, 1931, in Batesville. She married Richard Ivan Parmer April 15, 1951.
She is survived by her husband; daughters Susie (Ken) Pierce, Clinton, Linda (Terry) Burlew, Columbus, and Kathy (Mark) Mohr, Greensburg; sons Larry (Angie) Parmer, Waldron, Jerry (Karen) Parmer, Edinburgh, and Rick (Stacy) Parmer, Franklin; sister Ethel Parmer, Columbus; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
She graduated from New Point High School and was a homemaker. As a dedicated member of St. George Lutheran Church, Edinburgh, she served 33 years on the Altar Guild and many years as a Sunday school teacher.
She loved flowers, gardening, her loving husband and her No. 1 family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at St. George Lutheran Church by Pastor Jerry Castleman. Calling will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 22, at the church and from 9 a.m. until the service Saturday. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Memorial contribution may be made to St. George Lutheran Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home there.
