Eva May Kelly, 102, Cincinnati, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017.
The daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Berg) Kelly was born July 12, 1914, in St. Leon.
Eva was baptized in St. Leon and raised in Lawrenceville.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Cincinnati, where she often volunteered. She was active with the Clifton Center's Hill Toppers, volunteered for the Red Cross and the Cincinnati Zoo, and she loved to travel. Eva worked as a seamstress at Beau Brummell, Cincinnati.
She is survived by her niece, Ruth Kleine; two great-nieces, Carol (Mike) Purcell and Donna (Chip) Brown; four great-nephews, Greg (Judi) Kleine, David Schwegmann, Gary Schwegmann and Jim (Annette) Schwegmann; and numerous great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Gladys (Clarence) Woliung and Mabel (Jake) Schantz; nephews Robert Woliung and Robert Schantz; and niece Esther Schwegmann.
Family and friends will be received Friday, June 30, from 10-11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Hubbells Corner, Sunman. Funeral services will be held there at 11 a.m. with Pastor Fred Cook officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church of Cincinnati or Evangelical Union Cemetery, Hubbells Corner. Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg, at www.fitchdenney.com is handling arrangements.
